About
Headquartered in South Carolina, Timeless Concrete Creations serves clients across a wide region, from North Carolina to South Florida. We specialize in manufacturing custom concrete products, including decorative architectural elements, furniture, accessories, and sculptural objects.
I, James Moore, the chief creative at TCC, began five years of formal training in art and design at the age of 15 at the nascent New World School of the Arts, then known as the Performing and Visual Arts Center, in Miami, Florida. I later attended Pratt Institute in New York before joining the Marine Corps at the age of 21.
In the Marines, I served as a combat correspondent, starting as a photojournalist and later transitioning to roles as a newspaper editor and public affairs specialist. After completing my service, I pursued commercial photography until I met sculptor, fabricator, and art conservator Garth Francis. During my three years at Garth’s studio, I contributed to the fabrication, conservation, restoration, transportation, and installation of artwork for prominent galleries, museums, and private collectors, focusing on monumental outdoor sculpture.
In 1999, I embarked on a decade-plus tenure at Living Color Enterprises, Inc., based in South Florida. During this time, I contributed to theming projects for Disney, Universal Studios, and various museums, zoos, and aquariums. Serving as production manager for the company’s largest-ever Disney project and as project manager for several large aquarium installations, I honed my skills in leading diverse teams, project planning, estimating, and job costing. Following this role, I transitioned into a new career, focusing on sales, consulting, and the implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software systems tailored to manage engineer-to-order manufacturing operations.
In 2013, I began exploring the potential of concrete as a sculptural medium, recognizing both its clay-like aspects and its plaster-like properties. The result has been more than a decade of exploration and innovation, mastering both the art and the engineering of concrete. More than 250 projects later, I continue to pursue new heights of excellence in this medium.
